Tele-rehabilitation is the provision of physiotherapy services from a distance and involves communication with a patient who is remotely located from the primary physiotherapist providing service.

Exercise therapy and education are arguably the two most important and effective tools in the physiotherapist’s clinical toolbox, and these are ideally suited to Telehealth.

Clinical data agrees that a large and growing body of studies have demonstrated the equivalence of in-person physiotherapy and online physiotherapy consultations for a range of injuries and conditions.

Through video calls and online exercise programs your Registered Physiotherapist can help you with a wide range of musculoskeletal (muscle, soft tissue and joint related) conditions and injuries.

How does Telehealth(Video Calls) work?

  • Contact us to schedule an appointment with us
  • We get on a video call with a secure link we send and you can use your computer, tablet or phone (with camera) over internet connection to attend the session.
  • A Physiotherapist will connect with you face-to-face by video to assess your condition, answer your questions and work on a treatment plan. Using an online physiotherapy tool they will also create and send you customized exercise programs as needed. These programs can include detailed instructions, pictures and videos to help guide you through your home based rehab program.
  • Video calls are covered by most insurances companies and qualify for medical expense tax credits
  • Payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer and paypal (coming soon)
  • We can also transition you from online Telehealth to in-person if you’re physically accessible and available in close proximity of the therapist location (Subject to COVID19 pre-assessment results)

Physio at home is concerned about public safety due to COVID-19 with an attention towards to the most vulnerable. We have been closely monitoring the situation and have taken some additional steps to address this situation by introducing Telehealth (VIDEO CALLS) which is providing our sessions as VIDEO PHYSIOTHERAPY providing seamless services.

To stop the spread of COVID-19, we’ve implemented below steps to prevent both our patients and providers before we start any treatment.

• We implemented a passive screening step on phone or video before we can schedule an actual in person appointment or assessment with our patients.
• Our registered health care providers maintain high standards of infection prevention practices and periodically de-sanitize as required
• Our providers and patients to follow a mandatory 14day self isolation if traveled outside the country
• To stay home if the patient or provider display any symptoms of COVID-19 when due for an appointment.

New patients are now assessed through TELEHEALTH appointments (if required) and our clinics are NOT CLOSED. Just schedule an appointment as you did earlier and we’ll help you through the case.
